Writing English Essay Can be Enjoyable

Abstract
This paper centered around the issues relating to difficulties in writing an essay and how to write an essay enjoyable. In fact, many students get confused about writing an essay, especially they get difficulties to chose ideas will be writen, and hard to develop their ideas. Whereas, writing an essay become a trend to check the students’ writing ability and to check their improvement in writing. So, they should to have good skill in writing an essay. Because many students argue that writing an essay is difficult, boring, and uninteresting, so  this paprer purposed to give  steps and to motivate the reader making an essay more enjoy and easy through some writing activities interestingly.

I.     Introduction
Writing is one kind of four languages skill, there are speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Writing is a skill, so people specialy students need to improve their writing skill. Oshima and Hogue (1998, p. 3) state that:
writing, particulary academic writing is not easy. It takes study and practice to develope this skill. For both native speakers and new learners of  English, it is important to note  that writing is a process,  not a product.
It means that someone finished their writing is possible to review and revise, and review and revise agin.
A lot of people hate writing, especially writing an essay. They find it dull, useless or just annoying. But by following some steps you may find you enjoy writing essays more. And even if you do not-well, they might push up your grades a bit, and you will almost certainly find it easier.
Especially for career people, you will usually be asked to write an essay. You may work on an assigned essay for class, enter an essay contest or write essays for college admissions. This paper will show you the writing processes of essays.
II.   Discussion
According to Oshima and Hogue (1998, p. 100) state that “essay is a piece of writing several paragraphs long instead of just one or two paragraphs”. Besides, an essay is a very structured piece of writing with many conventions that distinguish it from other genres and styles, such as reports, creative writing pieces or reflective journal entries. It means that essays has some characteristics, and can be taught by interesting ways.
Generally, essay is taught in a formal education by a teacher. So the taecher should be able to motivate the students to write. Many students worried in making an academic writing, so the teacher should have some enjoyable ways. For example, the teacher  asks them  to write some paragraph from their favourite activity,  or televition program. Furtheremore, any teacher who makes a colored-card. Teacher  asks the student to make an interesting  topic on that card. Then, the teacher shakes that colored-card. Next,  that card is devided for them, after that they got one card, finally, teacher asks students to write some sentences as main topic, and students develop their main topic to some pharagraph.
Besides, we can use mind maping in writing an essay. Mind maping means that we write our ideas for each paragraph in our essay like a map. So, we can develop our ideas to become a good essay, and our thinking should be focus on the main idea. So, the students will motivate to writing an essay.
In addition, an essays has structured-parts, Oshima and Hogue (1998, p. 101) state that “an essay has three main parts: there is an introduction pharagraph, a body, and a concluding pharagraph”. These parts diferentiate between essay and other writing. In addition, after we motivate students to write, students also  should to master how to develope these part of essay. The steps are brainstoming, introduction of essay, body of essay, and conclution of essay.
Firstly, brainstorm your own ideas. Sure, you can use the arguments of others to back up what you want to say. However, you need to come up with your original spin on the topic to make it uniquely yours, then make lists of ideas. Besides you can also try mind mapping.
Secondly, make an introduction pharagraph, start by general statement, and in the end of introduction pharagraph, pick your thesis statement. The trick of stating theses pharagraph is: look at the ideas that you generated, choose one to three of your strongest ideas that support your topic. You should to be able to support these ideas with evidences. Write a thesis statement that summarizes the ideas that you plan to present.
Thirdly, write the body of essay. writer do want to think about length here, do not write pages and pages. However, you should freewrite to let your thoughts reveal themselves. You can always make them more concise later.
Fourthly, conclude your essay. Summarize your points and suggest ways in which your conclusion can be thought of in a larger sense.

III.         Conclution
Writing is a skill, that should be improve to be skillful. Writing for a lot of people is hard, so that hardness should be changed through intersting ways. For instead, through colored-card, write some favourite activities, and mind mapping. The student will be self-motivation and enjoy their writing.
