2.    Choose the literary works suitable with your students as EFL learners and give the reason why. If  literature is not a compulsory or optional subject in your school, what would you do to infuse them in your teaching process?
3.    Elaborate your pedagogical consideration to introduce the literary works to your student. Include the steps of  teaching strategies your think appropiate with reference to your studens’ needs and their language growth.

1.    Responses to literary works
     An English Poem
The English poem which i like is about love, the tittle is  “Can’t Say” by Cherry Cirellli. In that poem has a man who falling in love so deep to a woman but he didn’t do anything, he just want to say it, but he can not say to her. I can’t  imagine how feeling which he has until he can cry in loving  that woman, i think he must have huge enthusiasm to say his deep feeling, it will be better. So his feeling to that woman will not hurt him. This poem make me  tense from restraining pent-up emotions. He love that woman, but why can’t say?. Generally i understand maybe he is shy. But as a man, he must show and say what feeling he has. He is very over feeling, he is to hyperbola, he say should climb mountain to hear that woman and than should swim the atlantic to watch the woman talk. Akh, that is over i think. I don’t really like thypical man like that. But i like his deep feeling in falling in love to woman, i can imagine if any someone who loves me so deep like that, i’ll happy. Well,  I think he must say gentelmanly. Maybe the woman also living in hope of him to say “love”.
Actually, in this era reraly the man who hide their feeling to woman. But directly they speak to woman. And about accepted or not accepted that is the risk, and must be ready.
     Short Story
The story which i read is about romantic love. In that story is very smooth love, it means that their love not usual, and not boring, because in every even they have a flank when they are unique communication and unique to say their feeling, it is shown like that “she was pretty, he said "No". She asked him if he wanted to be with her forever, he said "No". Then she asked him if he would cry if she walked away, he said "No". She had heard enough; she needed to leave.
But in the other hands the man has more feeling which better, romanticly the man hold herarms and then the man say “You're not pretty, you're beautiful. I don`t want to be with you forever, I need to be with you forever. And I wouldn't cry if you walked away, I would die." I can feel that the woman, if they being regarded as special like that it is like flying to the sky. Yeah really that is love. And in that story the man bought 12 flowers. 11 real and 1 fake. He said, "I will love you until the last flower dies”. This lyric is very romantic and make sure how the man love so much to that woman. But one night they are going to home by car, the man sensed there was something wrong because of the painful silence they shared between them that night. She told him that her feelings had changed & that it was time to move on. And then he slid his tear to his cheeck, and then he slowly reached mncapai into his pocket & passed lewat her a folded mlipat note. I think the man very broken heart, and feel like loosing something special in his live. Then a drunk driver was speeding down and swerved right and killing the man, but the woman survived. I can feel that the woman very sad and he remembering to note from the man before die, then she read it “without your live, i would die” said the man. I think it’s realy dramatic, i guess this story will be end by wedding but opposit, the man died.
     A novel
The novel which i read is “The Pearl”. In that novel telling a poor family the father’s name is kino, his wife is Juana then they have a child named Coyotito. They live in poor condition with wooden house, and the buttress has a small hole, and their wooden house near of the beach so the wind so strength blowing. I pity to them how they can survive their life in poor condition and concuption what they get in that day. And how they protect their night from chilled with their wooden house. On day their child was sting by scorpion and it hurts Coyotito, so they decide to take Coyotito to doctor in the town. They use old robe so they looks like a poor person from India. The doctor is materialistic, and rejecting them. Kino is very angry, and he decide to find a pearl in the sea. I can imagine kino’s feeling when they were rejected by the doctor, kino is like a man who reverenge to doctor and doctor is miserly to the person which different social class, it’s unjust. Then kino find the biggest pearl in the sea, he plans many things what he want with Juana and Coyotito. Then he trys to sell that pearl but the buyer want to pay very cheap because the pearl is too big and bad, kino back to home and save his pearl. Since that time many treasure who want to get his pearl, Kino’s house is was in dangerous and after the doctor know that Kino found  the biggest pearl he went to kino’s wooden house, but kino not exited because hestill remember when the doctor rejecting them in town. Then Coyotito was in doctor’s hand and doctor gives Coyotito a medicine. I know that Kino not happy the doctor come to him, because he knows that the doctor is materialism. I don’t know what kino feel when the treasure tyr to seacrh him and his pearl, why he must be searched by treasure, his wife and Coyotito become a sacrifice. Then juana thaught that the source of the problem is “The Pearl” and she try to throw out the pearl but kino failed her. They decide to run away to avoid the treasure. But in the hill Kino meet the treasure and his knife killed a treasure. The hurt of Coyotito in serious condition then died. I imagine Juana’s feeling to Kino that Juana loves kino so much because what every things else Juana always beside Kino. Then they throw out the pearl to the sea and then go home. They are the wonderful family they can survive their live in danger situation and the massage which I get is “something special not always give us advantages, it is based on our position and how we used that things”.
     A Film
The film I enjoy so much is “what a girl want”. In that film has a man named Hendry and woman named Libby, then they married. But after Hendry bringing Libby to his home, the Hendry’s family drive out Libby to leave that home. It is because Libby is from usual person, then Hendry from noble. Libby life alone and without guess Libby was pregnant and she give a born beautiful girl named Daphne. For a long time Daphne know his father in England and she decide to go to England to fine her father. I can imagine how Libby’s feeling and survive to grow her child without a husband. She is a great woman she grows her child by singing and the cost used to buy her daily need. Then Daphne fine new friend in England named Ian, then Daphne fine her father which huge house and luxurious things in there. Her father not directly believe what Daphne said that she is her child but after Daphne shows photo of Libby, her mother. I can feel how interest Daphne very strong to fine her father and she really adventurous, but one thing which made Daphne sad that her father has new fiancé but she still keep her spirit to unite her mother, Libby and her Father, Hendry. For long time, Daphne said to Hendry that her mother still alone and Daphne want they unite. Based on her buffetings they can unite, and Hendry’s fiancé was rejected because she just want Hendry’s opulence, then Daphne become a beautiful princess. I think Libby get back his spirit and make sure that Hendry love her so much, I can feel if I become a Daphne will be very happy because her father and her mother come back in romantic situation.

2.    My choice is Drama, because drama can expess their feeling their emotion in characterizing someone, and then they will study how to make good coordination between personnel. And they will try to understanding the scane which gave to them, their creativity also will increase to make unique character as their position, and drama can gives them sociable value.
If literature is not compulasary, i will infuse them in understood the basic of a written language, use story to show language context, and teach cultural lesson about the language. And try to centered student if i give them story, i’ll ask their opinion about the each even in the story, and what they will do based on their view to the story.

3.    Some professor said, that function of teacher is not only teach student, but also lead  the student and centered to them. My way to introduce the literary works is by questioning, ask them about poem, story and another prose which they have been studied (rememberence) although it in Indonesia language lesson, ask their vaforite literary works and they retell it. after that, i guide them to introduce more detail the aspects in poem, drama, film, novel or another prose. Then, give them one kind of prose for example a poem and ask their predigested responses to texts they have never experienced as living works of art  And ask they by question “why” to train the class to be opinionated and they try to interpret every segment or line in prose according to the reason and intention behind it. because the heart of literature is  its intention. And they are given opportunities to discuss he poem and communicate each other by teir style languages. Every student wich studying literature not based on their awareness, they will feel lazy. If it happens, i will ask them and give specific question to invited his motivation too. After that in the ending of lesson give them conclusin and appropiate homework.

4.    The advantages of literature is enrich our own individual character with empathy and understanding, have a high aesthetics value, another country literature can increase our knowladge about integrity or quality of literary work, take a rules of one kind of prose, know the western culture, improving my languages, refresh our mind by their creation for example action film, and we know how they develope their literary work and adaptabeled with era, technology, and life style.
Then, the disadvanteges of literature (another country), has a novel wich too opposite with our religion, bad habitual western people they write in novel for example and in film, it’s disagree with our people culture, literature’s approach is by reading a book, novel, it is will not be suitable to the student which dislike reading.
I ever ask my niece  to read novel which just a text and small letters, she read a few line but she not interested to read more, i try to change the novel which colorful and unique letters, she like that she said that she want to read more because the picture in the novel made her anxious to find the ending of story. I am a typical person who dislike reading too much, when a book of “Laskar Pelangi” famous i’m not interested to read it because thet book is thin, but i want to know that story so i just watching its film.
